After much positive feedback to the new way we published tiering numbers last year, we wanted to continue with that trend. Attached you will find the numbers for each member school as reported in September 2017. These will be the numbers that will be used for tiering the 2018-2019 school year. Please note that schools may submit appeals until October 1, 2018, and the appeal form, and criteria for appealing is included in the package.   We will publish another version in late June, and then again in mid-September before the final numbers are released in early October.   Please don’t hesitate to contact our office with any questions.
Here are the Carried/Defeated results for the resolutions’ portion from this year’s Annual General Meeting.  These are draft versions and are therefore for information purposes only.  The meeting minutes will be posted shortly.

April 10, 2018 Statement on the Humboldt Broncos Tragedy As an organization, we were deeply affected by the events of the Humboldt Broncos junior hockey team on April 6. It is unfathomable to try and understand the grief the families are experiencing. It is any parent’s worst nightmare. On behalf of our Board of Directors, staff, and over 450 member schools, we send our sincerest thoughts and prayers to all those who are affected by this heart-breaking tragedy. The impact of this devastating accident is being felt throughout our country, and across every corner of our sporting community. As an organization, BCSS sees our young student-athletes travelling across the province in busses and vans on a nearly daily basis, which only allows us to imagine the impact and sadness that much more. We understand the Humboldt family is living a nightmare that we pray, we will never have to experience. We wish to send special condolences to Toby Boulet and his family, on the loss of their son Logan at the age of 21. Toby is an educator in Lethbridge, Alberta, and an Executive Member of our Alberta sister organization, the Alberta Schools’ Athletic Association. We stand with the ASAA and the Boulet family during this time as fellow educators and school sport advocates as they grieve the loss of their young son. It has been reported that Logan had recently signed his Organ Donor Card, and, as a result six lives have been forever changed for the better because of Logan’s heroism. In response, we ask that our 450+ member schools participate in the National Jersey Day in support of the Humboldt Broncos, this Thursday, April 12 as a show of support for the Humboldt community and those who have lost a loved one. We encourage our schools to promote this within their schools, and share pictures of their student groups wearing their jerseys with the hashtag: #jerseysforhumboldt while tagging BC School Sports on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Mike Allina, BCSS President Jordan Abney, BCSS Executive Director
