Student Eligibility
BCSS has created new forms for the current school year.
Eligibility Overview 2011-2012
Eligibility Application
This form is to be completed by all member schools for student athletes who are transferring in their 3rd, 4th or 5th year of eligibility and would like to continue to play in restricted competition.
Eligibility Form Grade 8 & 9 Transfers
All student-athletes intending on transferring from their home school after the start of Grade 8 will be required to fill in this eligibility application. (Please refer to Section D12.3 in the 2011-2012 handbook for additional information.)
Eligibility Advance Ruling Application
This form is used when you require the Eligibility Officer to provide an advance ruling on all matters pertaining to student athlete eligibility and immediate participation in ‘restricted competition’. (For example, moving up, seasons of play etc.) This form should not be used for students who are actually in the process of transferring schools after the start of their 3rd year of eligibility.
Eligibility Appeal Form
This is the actual application now required to be filled out for all appeals that go forward to the Eligibility Appeals Committee (formerly the Jury of Appeals).
Eligibility Application Grade 7
This application can be made to the Eligibility Officer for an exemption to allow a Grade 7 student-athlete to play for a bantam (grade 8 team) where the Member School would otherwise not be able to field a team due to insufficient numbers.
