HONOUR AWARD:

Purpose:

To honour colleagues who have made an outstanding contribution over an extended period of time to athletic programs in the secondary schools in the province of B.C. This is now limited to two recipients each year

The Award:

The award consists of a large, framed certificate with the honouree's name and a special Honour Award pin.  The recipient also receives a "Gold Card" which entitles the honouree plus a guest to attend and BC SCHOOL SPORTS Provincial Championship.  The honouree's name is engraved on a perpetual plaque which is displayed in the BC SCHOOL SPORTS office.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must have been actively involved in BCSS Programs (e.g. coach, member of the Executive of an Athletic Association or Sport Commission, member of the BCSS Board, etc.)
  
• Must not currently be a member of the BCSS Board of Directors
  
• Must have served at least one full two-year term on the Board of Directors, and have been involved administratively with two of the Local Associations, Sport Commissions and Standing Committees.
  
• Nomination letters with support data must be at the BC SCHOOL SPORTS office by March 1st.
