BC Sports Hall of Fame Grade 12 Scholarships
The BC Sports Hall of Fame offers a scholarship for one male and one female graduating BC student athlete for $1500 each, the goal of the scholarship is to help athletes stay in BC post secondary schools. The deadline for nominations is April 15, 2011. We would greatly appreciate it if this could be circulated as you see fit. In the past we know there have been some great candidates that might not have been aware of the opportunity.

BC SCHOOL SPORTS Scholarships

Sorry, BCSS will not be offering the Zone or Dave Gifford scholarships
this year due to provincial government funding cuts.

Please note that no applications will be accepted after the deadline.

The 400 Member Schools of BC SCHOOL SPORTS are pleased to announce this years BC SCHOOL SPORTS Scholarship Fund. The association is dedicated to assisting worthy student-athletes in their desire to attend an accredited Canadian University or College.

The BC SCHOOL SPORTS Scholarships rewards excellence in both scholastic and athletic pursuits. The successful applicants will be student-athletes who have balanced their high academic achievements with significant success as school athletes and contributors to their community.

BC SCHOOL SPORTS Dave Gifford Memorial Scholarship: $1,500

Dave Gifford was a BCSS Director from 1988-90, and received the BCSS Honour Award in 1992. He was a teacher and Administrator in Vancouver, and died in 1992. In his honour, this scholarship is for one male and one female student who truly excels as a student-athlete.

Applicants must be athletically eligible, compete in a minimum of two BCSS-approved sports during their grade 12 year, and have a GPA of at least 75% in both grade 11 and 12. The recipient of the BC SCHOOL SPORTS Dave Gifford Memorial Scholarship will have made a positive impact at their school and in their community.

BC SCHOOL SPORTS Zone Scholarships

7 scholarships of $1000 each

One $1000 scholarship will be awarded in each of the seven BC SS Designated Zones. Successful applicants will have outstanding academic and athletic achievements. Applicants must be athletically eligible and compete in at least one BCSS-approved sport during their grade 12 year. A minimum GPA of 75% is required in both grade 11 and 12.
